once i came home from mexico i did get the thrill of finding an egg in the nesting box. i was so excited! there it was. our second egg. simple perfection. resting there in the hay, a tiny gift. a wonder really.
i won't go into the anatomy of an egg or how the hen's body creates the egg, but it is amazing. and i cannot get over how fulfilling it is to collect eggs from the hens i raised. my hens.
they are laying. so i must be getting it right :)
i love your enthusiasm for the chickens in general and for the satisfaction of doing this for ourselves. and i love to read your thoughts about it.
